Thanks to Global Angel and its supporters, on September 29, we took Xander and his Dad to Florida and now after 2 months in Florida for treatment, they are returning home to Canada. Xander is only 4 yrs old and is receiving proton therapy to treat his spinal tumors . Although, the cost of treatment (over $ 100,000.00 ) is covered by the Ontario government, Xander’s family did not have the financial resources to fly to Florida and remain there for two months. In September, Global Angel covered all the costs of flights to Florida, transportation to Buffalo, hotel accommodations, meals and an escort from Angels of Flight Canada to assist Dad and Xander to Florida. … We wish the best for this family and little Xander…
