The air ambulance arrived on Friday afternoon, March 4, 2016 with Geraldine and her injured Mom … So grateful to everyone to be back home. Thank you everyone who helped make this happen.
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your donations, thoughts and prayers in support of my mother’s medical air transfer to Toronto. Geraldine, my mother and retired librarian, suffered a high spinal cord injury on February 8th 2016 while visiting relatives and friends in Tobago. She received acute medical care and was transferred to Port of Spain General Hospital in Trinidad where she underwent spinal surgery to decompress the spinal cord. She was transferred to and remains in the intensive care unit at Port of Spain General Hospital where she is recuperating. Given this tragic ordeal, she is trying to remain positive. She requires intensive rehabilitation therapy which is not available in Trinidad.
It is our wish to bring her home to Toronto where she can receive the required medical care and intensive rehabilitation to aid her recovery, and be surrounded by her immediate family and friends.
We are grateful for your generosity and prayerful support.
With sincere thanks…………Gerry, Noreen and Jennifer
