Why a Virtual Pull and How Can You HELP !
YOU can be a part of a great fundraiser…our “Pulling for Patients Challenge & Fundraiser”, only…you can ‘pull for patients” virtually from home, work or travelling, actually anywhere!! Just access our website…Many families, hospitals and organizations have expressed interest in wanting to give back to the charity that has helped make a positive difference in the life of one of their family, friends, neighbours or a patient form their practice or hospital. We need your help now to assist so many others across Canada who are struggling with illness that need medical treatment in another Province and even frequently a Provincially funded treatment in the USA. Although all treatment and hospital costs may be covered, transportation costs are the actual responsibility of the person needing care.
Many of our requests are from hospitals and family of persons who are diagnosed with cancer or other terminal illnesses. The ill person wishes to attend a special family event one last time but need ambulance transportation, a flight by airlines or air ambulance to return to their family in another Province or even return to a hospital close to home after being referred to another Province for treatment and care…
These are your neighbours, family, and friends in your community who need all of us to “pull together” to help them through the most difficult time in their life - TODAY and NOT in the future there may not be a future for our friends, colleagues, family and patients. Some you read about in the news, but, so many others suffer alone and their stories remain anonymous.
All of the proceeds go directly to help the ill persons or families with medical transport costs .
Feel free to come out and visit us on the day of the event too and enjoy the many activities, vendors, exhibitors and food to enjoy

Follow the easy Process
1. As an individual or a group, you can register a ‘Team’ by calling (705) 740 2645 and leave a voice message or (800) 563 7686 to talk directly to a volunteer, or email your information to [email protected] . Choose a name for your Team, identify a contact person with their email and phone number. We will list your TEAM on our web site, post to social media to help raise awareness of your team’s participation in the event.
2. Gather pledges for your team - each person can go to our website and on the home page or top of many pages, push the purple donate button that will take you to a donation site. Your team will be listed on this site. Just follow the directions and you can make your pledge directly to the team using a credit card. Each person who pledges using the site directly, can print off a charitable receipt for tax purposes. If the Team leader choses to collect all pledges they too can be submitted the same way, by sending a cheque or direct deposit to the Global Angel bank account (if direct deposit), we will require a corresponding list of pledges be sent to our office. When you donate your pledge through the web site, remember to apply it to the correct designation name, so we can have an ongoing accurate total for your team.
3. Challenge other groups, hospitals, business, provinces and friends to raise more pledges. Challenge another department in your hospital or business, post it to facebook, tweet it, tell your local paper… let everyone know.
Prizes will be awarded for most pledges (1st, 2nd and 3rd places), individual with highest pledges, participation and more. Winners will be determined by the actual amount sent to the charity.
